All changes of occupancy require a Life Safety Inspection before opening business to the public. Any new business must review the new business checklist below prior to opening to the public to make sure any permits if required, have been pulled.  

Please review applications and information under the planning commission tab for guidance with site plan submittal and approval. All site plans for new development must be designed and stamped by a registered design professional. 

Construction Drawing Requirements:

• Projects that consist of structure(s) over 5000 square feet and over 3 stories in height shall have stamped engineered drawings for all construction.
• Projects under 5000 square feet and under 3 stories in height can submit architectural drawings; The drawings submitted shall display a scaled site plan and floor plan, it will need to show egress doors, restrooms, storage area, office space, common/meeting area, etc. The Building Official and Fire Marshal can ask for more detailed drawings (if needed) depending on the size and occupancy classification of the structure.
