Mayor Gerald Greer leads the city government with a six (6) member council consisting of two (2) council members from each ward, elected at large to serve a term of four (4) years. The Mayor can be reached at (615) 879-1374. The term date for the current Mayor is August 31, 2028.
The council has a workshop the 1st Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. and a council meeting the 2nd Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. Except for the month of November of 2024, the workshop will be the 2nd Tuesday and the council will be the 3rd Tuesday. A budget meeting as needed. Meetings will be held at the Thrive 55+ Center, 104 Ruth Drive, Ashland City, TN 37015.
