Community Food Resources

On Going - Food available at Bethesda Center at 124 S. Main St., Ashland City. Call them at 615-792-1389 for an appointment.

Each Wednesday - 24 Church at 1502 Substation Road in Pleasant View from 6-7 pm.

Quarterly - One Generation Away Food Distribution in Ashland City.  This is a drive through food giveaway, and it is distributed on a first come, first served basis.  For more information on other nearby distribution, you can go to their website at www.onegenaway.com/mobile-pantry

First Saturday of Each Month  - Food Box Give Away at Mission of Hope Assembly at 6307 Highway 41 A, Pleasant View from 7-9 am.

Quarterly - Food Giveaway at Gateway Church at 1642 Highway 12 S., Ashland City from 9 am to 1pm.  This is Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency USDA Commodities Food Distribution.  The next distribution dates are December 9, 2023, March 9, 2024, June 8, 2024, and September 7, 2024.  

Mid-Cumberland (MCHRA) Public Transit Service

The Mid-Cumberland (MCHRA) Public Transit offers curb-to-curb rural public transportation for residents of Cheatham County.  More information about fares, hours of operation, or to schedule a ride, you can call 615-792-7242 or click on the provided link to their website http://www.mchratransit.org/ for more information.

Mid-Cumberland Meals-on-Wheels

The Mid-Cumberland Meals-on-Wheels program has been providing nutritious meals and other services for individuals age 60 and older for more that 40 years.  If you are a senior and would like to reserve a meal, you can call 615-792-7276 or click on the provided link to their website http://www.mc-mealsonwheels.com/ for more information. 

GNRC - Greater Nashville Regional Council

The Greater Nashville Regional Council is part of a nationwide network that serves the needs of older adults and adults with disabilities. With one phone call, we can assess the needs of a specific individual and provide a range of options to choose the support they need to protect their quality of life.

TN SHIP

The Tennessee State Health Insurance Assistance Program (TN SHIP) is a federally funded program that provides free, unbiased counseling and assistance to Tennessee's Medicare-eligible individuals, their families, and caregivers.  We do not promote any insurance agency, and we maintain confidentiality with all our clients.  Whether you are new to Medicare or a seasoned beneficiary, our trained counselors can assist you with all of your Medicare questions.  For more information, please contact TN SHIP at 1-877-801-0044, visit their website TN SHIP or email them at tn.ship.gov

Alzheimer's Helpline

The Alzheimer's Tennessee Helpline (1-800-ALZ-GATE) is open to people with memory loss as well as their caregivers, family members, health care professionals, and the public. Our locally-staffed Helpline provides support, information and referrals to Tennessee callers annually who are struggling with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.  Assistance is only a phone call away.  For more information regarding services, their website is https://www.alztennessee.org/help
